XDD Materials

In August, XDD published five new blog articles, a new practice guide, and a new technology webinar:

  • Practice Guide
    • Self-Collection: A Shortsighted Shortcut – Collection activities are usually among the first expenses in any eDiscovery project, inseparable from identification and preservation, the three activities together creating the foundation for all the work that follows.  Although that subsequent review and production work typically costs far more, those initial collection expenses are often treated as something to be minimized or avoided.  Not all shortcuts are created equal, however, and self-collection is one that should almost always be avoided.  Saving a minor amount at the beginning of a project by risking substantial costs, conflicts, and sanctions later in the project is the very definition of penny-wise and pound-foolish.  In this 14-page Practice Guide, XDD Director of Education Matthew Verga and XDD VP of Forensic Services Paul Price discuss why collection is so important, what risks come with custodian self-collection, what risks come with organization self-collection, and what the courts have said about both.
  • Technology Webinar
    • Experience the New XDD-360 Technology Suite – As eDiscovery continues to evolve, so too must the technology practitioners use to accomplish it. Unfortunately, with all the disparate technology solutions available in the market today, it has become challenging for practitioners to determine what to use, when to use it, and how to connect it to everything else.  The new XDD-360 Technology Suite addresses these challenges by providing clients with an end-to-end technology solution comprised of multiple, individual technology systems integrated into one, unified suite. XDD-360 accelerates and optimizes both clients’ eDiscovery activities and XDD’s eDiscovery services, from lightning fast ESI processing to AI-driven managed review.  In this free, one-hour “deconstructed panel” program, XDD VP of Product Management Drew Stern is joined by XDD VP of Project Management Kathleen Frawley, XDD VP of Information Technology Aby Simon, and XDD VP of Product Operations Tara Ickes to discuss the many benefits of working with the XDD-360 Technology Suite.

As always, we welcome your input regarding future topics for our webinars, articles, and white papers.  Share your interests with us here.
